WTY-30 portable drilling rig is a small portable drilling machine for which the design is further improved on the basis of QPY-30. It is applicable to the drilling of general prospecting, geophysical prospecting, construction and road prospecting, blast hole and other works.

⑴. Lower labor intensity due to reasonable technical parameters and high mechanization.

⑵. Convenient operation and high drilling efficiency due to the hydraulic feed mechanism.

⑶. Following the forth rack, the turntable can keep of the well mouth, with commodious operating space. It is suitable for many drilling styles.

⑷. Compact structure, small size, light weight, easy dismountability and convenient removal, assembly and maintenance.

⑸. The bottom of the hole can be quickly cleaned due to the gearbox of drilling rig being equipped with transfer case.

Compared with QPY-30, in addition to preserving its main advantages and selecting a number of shared parts, it has the following new features:

⑴. As the use of external dry clutch, the gearbox is simpler and more compact, as well as operation and maintenance are more convenient, with very few wearing parts;

⑵. Running is more stable, lubrication is more adequate and life is longer due to the turntable body being equipped with underlying spiral bevel gear pair. As connected with gearbox directly, and deputy gearbox is abolished, it is more compact. Weight is lighter due to using φ40 tank. Operation is more reliable and saving labor due to the chuck being equipped with ball wearing for fixing, and handle positioning device. Further more the overall weight of turntable is reduced nearly half;

⑶. Hard rock can be drilled by using φ76 diamond due to sub-high-speed shift position (578r/min) being added;

⑷. As the cantilever support is replaced by dual-support at the planetary gear, the lift load is increased and the life of spare parts is longer;

⑸. As the steel size of rack is increased, thus the overall rigidity and strength of rack is increased too.

⑹. Little abrasion, prolonged life and convenient replacement due to the main core pipe of vertical spindle using outside hexagon positioning and lower-joint-transmission torque;

⑺. Not easy to be damaged due to the oil pump with higher pressure and flow, furthermore the strength and rigidity are higher due to simple structure of oil pump base.
